My name is Kali I am a senior at CSU and am graduating in May! Being a full-time student and working part-time occupies most of my free time. I discovered, about a year ago, I spend much of my time thinking about other things or people and I devoted very little of my time to myself and reflecting on what it is that helps me maintain a positive attitude and outlook on life. The phrase “Food for Thought” is associated with anything that provides mental stimulus for thinking. My goal for this page is that it will offer readers an “escape” and insight through quotes, images, and other various pieces of media that allow them view the world through a different lense or think about things that otherwise may not have thought about. I think American’s spend too much time working and not enough time playing or appreciating what they have in life. We all get tied up in the daily routine and many times forget to take time for ourselves and the little things in life. This page will hopefully allow readers to gain some fresh insight, forget about all the “hustle and bustle” of the world around us and allow them a chance to reflect on the positives in life, which is a challenge some days. Everyone is guilty of going through their daily or weekly routines without enjoying the little things life has to offer. I am guilty of this too. Being a Senior at Colorado State University I often find myself too busy with my studies and work to even breath, let alone think about irrelevant things. However, I decided it was unhealthy to go about my life in this way. I knew I needed to take the time out of my week to focus on me and what makes me happy. I often look to quotes, phrases, images or other media to enrich myself and help me grow as a person. I hope some of the things you find on here are interesting and cause you, as readers, to think about your own lives and learn to appreciate all that life has to offer because life is too short to not love yourself.
